1. Best. Build a scrapbook layout that highlights your family's "Best Of." For example, for the family vacation page, select one photo that shows the highlight from the trip. Then have each member of the family list their best memory in the trip. (Bonus: Create a whole album based on this idea, with one page about favorite food, one page about favorite attraction, one page about favorite moment, etc.).
2. Top 5. Such as the "Best Of" scrapbook layout, the "Top 5" page can focus on the top movies of the year, the most notable plays in a soccer season, or perhaps the top songs your teen listens to. Note: This strategy is a great supply of your kids linked to your scrapbooking! They love lists and having their opinions in writing.
3. Who/What/When/Where/Why. Select "just the facts" on your own scrapbooking layout by choosing a few photos and accompanying these with the basics. Tell who's within the photo, what they're doing, location the photos were taken, and why these were there. You could return later and incorporate additional stories to flesh out the details.
4. In a Word... Let's say you needed to choose only one word or even a phrase to summarize the wedding or moment you might be documenting? Perhaps a photo collage of your respective kids running from the summer sprinklers could possibly be titled, "Showers of Fun." A picture of your respective mom snuggling her first grandchild may be headlined with, "Pure Love." Sometimes a word or two is perhaps all you will need!
5. 1-2-3. If you're capturing a celebration that unfolds after a while, three photos may be everything you should convey the complete story. For instance, for a wedding page, you can have one photo from the bride walking down the aisle along with her father, among the couple at the altar, and one with the happy newlyweds leaving the church. The storyplot is told via a compilation of progressive photos on the scrapbook page.
